Pets for Patriots offers an additional channel to help you place the most adoption-challenged dogs and cats in your care into loving military homes, where their unconditional love is the best ‘thank you for your service’ gift of all.

Pets for Patriots offers shelters, rescues, SPCAs, humane societies, and municipal animal controls a free, easy to administer, and demonstrably successful program to help military veterans in their communities adopt a loving companion pet

More affordable pet adoption means more adopted pets

We reduce animal surrender by addressing one of the greatest challenges to pet guardianship – cost of care – and provide extensive post-adoption follow up to maximize the pet-person bond and minimize pet ‘recycling’.

Support our troops

Be recognized as an organization that cares about veterans and military families who live in your community. We can’t think of a better way to say ‘thank you for your service’ than by giving the unconditional love of a rescued dog or cat.

Pets for Patriots provides a range of free print and digital tools to help you promote our partnership in your shelter and your community at large.

Free stuff

As a thank you for partnering with us we’ll send a complimentary set of brochures, and Kennel Tags to help increase the visibility of Pets for Patriots-eligible dogs and cats in your care.

There is no cost to apply to or partner with Pets for Patriots. We’re a nonprofit, too, so we know you love free things as much as we do.
