Story submission

How my adopted pet changed my life...for the better!

Please give more than one sentence answers. If your submission does not have enough information we will need to reach out to you to get additional details. This delays your story as well as those of other veterans. Thank you!
  • Tell us a little about what you're doing now, e.g., city and/or state where you live, if you're working, retired, about your family life, etc., or anything else you'd like to share.
  • Brief overview of when/where you served, why you entered the military, your branch of service, role and any other details you'd like to share.
  • Tell us about at least one experience you had during your service that has stuck in your mind, and why. It could be something dramatic, humorous, meaningful; it's up to you.
  • What made you decide or realize that you wanted or needed a pet in your life?
  • How did you find out about our program? Why did you decide to adopt through us?
  • Tell us how your pet has changed your life for the better! What do you do differently, or how do you feel differently, since adopting?
  • Tell us some of the favorite things that your pet does, or that you enjoy doing together!
  • Would you recommend other veterans adopt through our program? If so, why? If not, why not?
  • Accepted file types: jpg, png, gif, jpeg.
Images should be high resolution and not blurry. Include at least one picture of you and your pet close together. Please send only those images that you are comfortable having published.
